I live in AZ but my fiancee lives in North Carolina, he is in the Army. They will not let him leave. I have non him for 20 years, he is my best friend and I hate living this far from him. I am pregnant with his child too. The problem is I have an ex husband that will not let me move. So obviously we have to go to court. How hard is it to get the judge to let me move? My ex has visitation but he is a convincted felon on probation AGAIN FOR DRUGS. (Been arrested over 20 times). I have no record, not even a traffic ticket. Does anyone have advise?I have sole custody but how hard is it to move out of state?
Go see a lawyer. You can get an initial visit with a lawyer and get all your questions answered based on your specific situation.
Good luck, I hope it works out for you.I have sole custody but how hard is it to move out of state?
YOu should just explain the situation to the court. You need to marry the guy your prego with though, the court would be more willing to do what you want if youre married. youll most likely get your way with the move, but, you may also be responsible for the transpoting of the child for the visitation she/he would get with her/his father since your the one moving away.
Just because your ex has an convicted does not mean he shouldn't be able to see his child.
Sounz to me like you're dealing with a control freak. If you feel the relationship and involvement he has with your 4 year old is good then stay put so they can have a healthy relationship with their dad. But if it is of a negative non-beneficial nature then i would be moving on.. even if court is required. Change your lawyer if need be. Check up how many weeks of the year you need to be in AZ to warrent living there. There are many ways of getting around the system and control freaks. You just have to have the inner strength and guts to do the right and the good for your and the families happiness and health. It sounds to me like you're the responsible, reliable and available parent here so why let him dictate the future of youre love, life and family :)
