Is dating your ex's friend wrong? and how can he tell him?

me and my ex broke up but my ex still wants to have a future with me we were together for 3 months and that day we met he brought his friend and i have always liked his friend and would have rather been with his friend that him, so now that we broke up me and his friend are still cool and i told him how i really felt taking the chance of looking bad, but come to realize he has liked me this whole time too((: its so wonderful we arent together yet but we want to be. the only problem is is that he doesnt know how to tell my ex[his friend] that we are togethur wen we do happen..


1. should i date him or is it a bad idea?


2. how should he tell his freind that we are together and that we really do like one anothur without losing his friendship of 8 years and remaining with me?
